Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring (ABPM) is the measuring of your blood pressure while you move around, living your normal daily life. It is measured over a period of up to 24 hours.
The 24-hour blood pressure monitor test is done using a cuff that is placed around one of your arms. At regular intervals it is pumped up to restrict the blood flow in your arm. The attached digital monitor then records your blood pressure during these intervals.
